Took a few shots of my freinds little girl tonight - first time in a good few weeks that I have had a chance to use the FZ10. Here's threee shots out of about 7 taken - ISO 100, f2.8, aperture mode + Sunpak 383 ext flash. There's some noise in a couple of the shots esp around the neck but I was still happy with them.

Nice photos. I like the first one the best.
I see that almost everyone here prefer color over b&w. wonder why.. |

my personal favorite of yours:
http://harjtt.smugmug.com/gallery/399640/5/21926155 nice work. i love b&w photos. i think color kinda detracts from the photo a bit. but of course any opinion is subjective. ![]() |

Dis
Thanks for checking the other pics - That pic is of Mr.B a street artist - I say artist becuase he could play the clarinet, Sax, flute and a whole other bunch of instruments. He seems to have moved on which is a real shame as we had built up quiet a good friendship and I would love to do a real shoot for him, however he really prefered the shots in colour! Cheers HarjTT :| PS Here's a B&W from today... Pic 4... System crash ! A wee bit soft - teh FZ10 seems to have locked focus on her jumper. Oh well, thats where the FZ30 and that high res EVF has the edge. |

Actually, I think that soft focus is sometimes nice to make photos more emotive.
Softfocus and simple compositions make for stunning photographs. |

Nice portraits, Harjtt. Did you use direct flash or bounced your Sunpak off the ceiling, or addedthe omnibounce attachment? I like the lighting.

Thanks mate for the compliment on eth shots. I just used the sunpack - no omnibounce just bounced straight of the ceiling at 90 degrees as that to me seems to give the best esp with the pretty light coloured floor. I was going to use a large white card as a reflector but decided against it as I just wanted to keep the shots as natural as possible. Cheers Harj |
