I did a lot of research into wide angle converters for my FZ30 as I wanted a 24mm rather than a 28mm. There is a comparative review of the Raynox, Olympus and Panasonic models among others by Dr Shene at www.cs.mtu.edu/~shene/DigiCam/index.html on this forum. The Panasonic LW55 was the best and doesn't require an adapter but is also the most expensive and quite difficult to find. Bruce

I really appreciate all the information and help. You all are tremendous!!! I decided to go withthe Olympus WCON-08B and just bought one on e-Bay.
My next purchase will probably be that Sunpak 383 external flash. Thanks again to everyone!!! Oh yeah... will any type of step up ring do or is one brand better than another. I'm clueless when it comes to step up/down rings. |

Standard setup ring should work, heygirl.
Any local photo shop should have one for you ![]() You should see little to no vignette (shadow) in the corners of your photos. Btw, I use a 55 UV filter (to protect lens) plus the step up 55-62 plus the Wcon-08 w/my FZ30. Your WCon-08 will be great for family group photos! |
