Hi Harbhajan, welcome to the Pana forum. Congrats on your FZ30 purchase! It's an excellent camera, but I hope you are on to editing too - we do need to touch up our shots a little bit for better view. See your flower reproduced below, with a little bit of retouching. (Hope you don't mind!). By the way, the fruit in the first photo is more popularly known as custard apple.

The 0.50 lenses are really good, they give an effective 17.5 mm focus, with the resulting image nearly 50% larger and a much wider scene for the sunsets etc.

Would you mind explaining what you did to "retouch" the picture of Harbhajan's yellow flower, please? The increase in sharpness alone is very noticeable on my screen.

Rhagu
Thanks. I tried it with Irfanview and was surprised how well it worked. Presumably you then saved it and re-posted it? Harbhajan This is a lovely flower. Well done. But I see it has gone, so maybe you are trying to sharpen the image as well? |

I, too, did not see the original flower photos. Those pictures from India are fascinating and I can assure you that we have nothing like that in Canada. Would luv to be able to come some time to your side of the world and experience your lovely country and culture. I would luv to see more photos like those. I am strictly an amateur so my comments are only elementary!!!! but remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder!!!!
