Nice sharp shot Rob, I agree, the sunlight on the water does look nice.....

The speckled water looks good, wish the sailboat wasn't in the shadow. Nice overall effect.

Funny how all that reflection off a warm ocean looks just like the sun reflecting off the icey slush in Lake Michigan a few times this winter. A nice postcard picture this is.

Very effective sailing shot, Robass. Surprisingly difficult to make sailing pictures interesting. You certainly pulled it off!
Triple-reefed main and storm jib ... it must have really been honking! I remember those south-easterlies well!!!
We'll soon be back on the water in this part of the world thank goodness.
Cheers,
Robin.

Like this a lot Rob. Very nice indeed. As you said the reflections on the water are very attractive.
In regards to Hiroshi's comment I sort of agree. I think the boat would be best as either a silhouette or a little brighter. Don't know what PP software you have to work with, but it should be possible to try both.
I think this photo is one of those that with a bit of careful work would look magnificent on your wall.Just need to be careful to not spoil the essence you have alreadycaptured. Well done.

I like the sparkles the sun creates on water ripples too. Looks like a really pleasant place to sail or just relax.

thank you all for the comments . Port Elizabeth is actually known as the watersport capital of South Africa . we just recently hosted the world Ironman championship.
