Walked out this morning, These were a couple of first things I saw. Taken handheld, in MF mode. No PP, just resized.

some level adjustment -comments are requested, as I do not want to get into overdoing the PP.

Thanks Bootneck. I thought maybe there was just a bit too much light. It was very bright and dry today. I don't like to overdo the PP, becauseI like to keep things much like I saw it in its natural state. Hope this makes sense.
Thanks again and also for your support. |

It is generally worth doing some levels adjustment on shots like these to bring out the full range. It is a nice shot - but the processed version has had a bit too much (ie added contrast) = you have lost highlight detail. Try only bringing in the right hand Levels slider enough to brighten the whites without loosing detail in them. Then finish off with a subtle sharpen ('unsharp mask' or 'high pass' overlay are best, if you have them), to bring up edge detail...

I like #1 & #2. Perhaps a slight saturation boost is all they need to bring out the colors a bit. This is a lovely flower.
