I don't usually apply the various filters in my editing program, but I really liked the way this one came out. It was an emboss filter.
Does it work or should I leave the filters alone? |

Looks like water color paper that I print on. Let's me use third party ink on my pictures andpeople really like it. I've never messed with the filters that much but some of them look great.

I love lighthouses of all shapes and sizes so I am definitely not an objective person here!
That said, I like the filter's effect! One can almost feel the wind and the clarity of the day with the filter applied ![]() |

LadyhawkVA-
It works for me, as well... Gives themage a bit of 3-D to it (which I expect emboss is intended to do...). It'd be interesting to see how it comes across when printed out on a matte and viewed from different angles. |

Thanks for your encouraging replies.
A couple of folks in the landscape forum didn't care for it very much. I guess it just goes to show that tastes vary depending on who frequents the various forums. Panasonic folks enjoy stretching the creative muscles sometimes. |

I like it too. Which editing program did you use?

Nice pic, but I do not prefer the emboss effect here - the sky looks like a wall. In other words, the image looks like it is painted on a wall and not as a photograph. Why not try to undo the effect and post the raw image here, for comparison?
