From the old FZ10 with raynox 250, taken yesterday.
Well, not as many shots taken this time. Could not find much insects and also had many OOF shots. These are the only ok ones. Appreciate any C&C. Last shot on the flower is kind of wierd looking. #1: Treehopper side ![]() #2: TH front ![]() #3: Jumping spider in its home ![]() #4: Very odd looking flower of a creeper ![]() |

In the first two there is this strange effect of the flash on the short hair which makes it seem micromoved. But I have to wait some weeks to start using a DCR 250...
Is there and hot red pixel in the middle of the head in #2 (amidst the junction line which runs from eye to eye)? Great flower, although I don't like grey backgrounds in macros. Seems an alien plant... Great JS. A Isaid on the other forum I like this background which is not completely OOF (but quite nearly so) and the suffused, smooth atmosphere around that beautiful creature. Which is the focal l. in the JS shot? Narmer |

Yeh, did not like the BG for the flower too...but the flower was kind of wierd. The JS shot was taken at full zoom. My flash arrangement is different nowadays.....due to the hotsync wire I had, the connection is not so good and does not always trigger the flash. So now I put the flash on the hot shoe with the homemade diffuser, and handhold the other flash with the omnibounce diffuser. Seems quite good. If I need the BG to be illuminated, I tilt my flash 90 deg, with it pointing towards the BG, and the diffuser face shining down towards the subject, and my handheld flash filling in the shadows. So far looks so good. |

Very unusual critter, well positioned and sharp. I too thought that was a hot pixel!!
You seem to have mastered the Raynox as well tchuanye. Emmanuel |
