The point of this post is to show how my FZ7 did at a Christmas concert. I was about40 feet away, ffully zoomed out,no flash, no tripod, shutter priority 40/50,iso 200 and 400. I thought the quaility was pretty good. I did a touch of PP. I doubt you want to blow these up, for fine for 4x6. Donna

You are right Donna, you and the FZ did a great job for those conditions. Looks like they would even make a fine 5x7 print.

Excellent PIX Donna - good work.

I noticed that you didnt have a cast associated with colored lights (or at least not a significant one).
Did you perform a custom WB for the situation prior to the shoot?

Often when I shoot stage performers/performances it's indoors & there are an awful lot of colored flood stage lights.
I dont try to compensate WB for it as I consider this part of the "real" scene (ie, what the eye is actually seeing).

No I used incandescent and auto...had a bit of a blue cast, seems all my shots do, so I removed it. I often use the cloudy setting on any camera outside because I like warmer shots. Donna

Those look great Donna! There may be a better low light camera out there but not from 40 ft. away and hand held. You did good and can be proud of all of them.

I gotta admire the seadiness of your hand on these. OIS or not you did great in those conditions.
