I bought my WDTV Live HD (a media player) for storing DVDs and photos for viewing on my HD TV in our living room. the media player has two USB ports and a standard ethernet jack on it, as well as optical audio out, and an HDMI port for connecting to my TV. I have nearly 200 movies ripped to the external 1TB hard drive that is connected to the media player, so I can watch movies like a video jukebox (helps with the kids too when they want to watch a kids movie - no searching for errant DVDs). At any rate, the media player handles lots of different codecs and file types. I made a simple short video with the FZ35, copied the video off the memory card onto a USB thumbdrive, and plugged that into the second USB port on the media player. It played perfectly. Now, bear in mind I have no experience with editing these files, I barely have time to watch them anymore with three kids! I a more about capturing photos and videos of the kids for viewing later when they are all growsed up ![]() I have a folder on the external hard drive attached to the media player for home videos that I captured with various video cameras, so I just plan to dump the videos into that and view them later. Its a great way to keep them organized, easily viewable, and keeps your camera's memory card free. Let me know if you have more questions. I am pretty pleased with the purchase of that little media player. Greg |

Sorry, I just couldn't resist, given your post about it. But, at least I didn't leave it set that way (although I was tempted to leave it that way until you saw it, I just grabbed a screen capture instead).
![]() IOW, I figured you'd have a sense of humor (considering your post about it) and enjoy the "poke" in good fun. ;-) |
