As a matter of interest, what focal length (35 mm equivalent) do you end up with if you put a TCON-17 onto the FZ30 set at 5MP and full zoom? Is it 535 x 1.7 = 909 mm?

I believe that's right, yes. I still plan to buy one in the near future.
