Thank you for the welcome! However, I have a confession to make - I am a returnee - but it's been so long since I've posted I'd forgotten my user name!
Thanks also for your comment - appreciated. I took a quick walk through a local park yesterday and noticed this duck because of the blue head feathers. I suspect it's a Mallard whose parents roamed a bit! ![]() Last edited by Copperfield; May 3, 2013 at 4:38 AM. Reason: Added omitted word. |

As you say Raghu, “it’s nice to be different”! The Mallards do, of course, have the green, iridescent feathers on the head. I took a quick stroll through a local park and, as I approached an area where the ducks congregate I noticed a duck with what appeared to be blue head feathers. So the camera was soon in action!Attached is the original photo.
