Came acoss an article:

"Which camera is better"This question always pops up, and there will be many pp with views of varying degree. But ultimately, the camera is just a tool, and is only ONE parameter out of many in taking a good photograph.....

This article is quite refreshing..... just thought of sharing it......

100% true. A camera must have certain functions that a photographer needs for what they want to take. Its not what is used most of the time, its how its used. A 16 megapixel camera can take a bad shot as well, a 2.1 megapixel camera can take a fantastic shot. Always been that way. A Leica camera takes as many junk photos as a kodak, depends a lot on who's behind it. My tag (which I can't seem to use here) is "Worry about the image that comes out of the box, rather than the box itself."

We need good glass and a certain amount of pixels though, just the same. The photographer still must have the functions to capture what they need, that is still a must.

Anyway, interesting article. Thanks for the link :-)

good point good point...

of course...in the digital world, prints can look much different between cameras...

a higher MP dSLR will produce a better print than a 2 mp consumer at 16x20 (same photographer, practically same shot...if shot side by side..with same basic settings)

but anyway...the shot itself is more about the photographer, the ability to get the exposure right, the time spent composing, that makes the difference between a good a bad shot

...the photographer is most definetely more important than the camera...
