I too have played with the settings but have a poor memory which doesn't help at all. Would like to learn more also but need very simple instructions, which i write down in a small notebook. I am going away soon and hope to be able to take good train photos but they are indoors too so...

Look forward to seeing those. I'm going to go around taking some indoor photos (the lighting in this house varies wildly) and then swap stories when you're back!

I am going to the big railway museum in York and it is all indoors. Anyone got any experience of this venue and if so what are good settings to get good photos as i want them for my artwork.
