Hey everyone,

Just got an FZ7 yesterday, it is pretty sweet. It was a much anticipated upgrade to my canon A85 (still a good camera). I have a question about the case though. I opted to buy the panasonic case, it is blue and black, semi hard design and says onthe boxthat it is for the FZ7. The thing is, that once you put the lens adapter on (never mind the lens flare thingy) the camera no longer fits in the bag. If you leave these part off of the camera, there isn't any room in the bag for them either. I find this a little short sighted on panasonics part. A I missing something?

Yah... I realised that too! I felt it was an oversight, the FZ7 has come a long way sincesince FZ1but the bag is still the same! If onlyit was just slightly longer it would fit.

The camera shop then asked me to buy a seperate camera bag, so me and my friends think there's a conspiracy going on with the bag manufacturers! haha!:G

I'm not sure how the adapters fit on to the FZ7, but I have the Panasonic case for my FZ3. I leave the adapter permanently attached to the camera, and it fits into the case without any problem. I have the lens shade (the tulip-shaped shade) on as well, but I have to reverse it on the camera to make it fit into the case. In other words, I have the hood on backward, with the petals pointing back toward the camera body, and this works OK. When I take the camera out of the case, then I have to take the shade off and put it on with the petals facing away from the camera. Will this work with the FZ7, or is either the camera or lens shade too big to allow you to do this?

I'm not sure if the FZ7 is larger than the FZ3, but I had it configured the same way. Adapter ring on the end, and lens hood reversed facing back towards the camera. How long is the adapter ring on the FZ3, on the FZ7 it is about 1 and 3/4 inches long, basically it is just barely longer than the lens when it is extended. I didn't think I could fit it even if I really squished it in there. I actually retuned the bag for a Lowe Pro Rezo 110AW, it fits nicely.

I'm using a Lowepro bag for my FZ7.

It fits in well with the extension tube on which is present permanently.
