I would like to consider buying theDMC-FX150,but the one drawback to me is QuickTime. I want my future camera to take good movies.I also want to be able to burn these movies to a dvd and play them on my dvd player.

Does anybody in this forum convert their files? And if so,with what program?

Me, too! Right now it looks like the panasonic fz28 is the best option for me but I just can't get past that nasty quicktime player... would love to hear from people using programs to convert on a regular basis (I do *loads* of quick vids with my digicams so it has to be slick!)

Try Any Video Converter. It's pretty painless.

Ugh, I glanced at your reply and thought at firstyou were saying to just try any converter, haha, and I've definitely found they aren't all painless! Thanks, I will give this a shot... love having batch conversion... do you lose anything quality wise with this? If I can get this going easy it will definitely open up a whole world of camera possibilities for me... although I'd much rather have nothing to do with quicktime to begin with (my computers w/o that software are much happier!)

oh man, that is night and day... I guess I can try playing around with it some more, but seems to be about what I've experienced in the past, the quality of the output is bad, bad, bad, ugly

Are you downsampling to 25 FPS?

My videos look pretty good if I keep them at 30 fps.
