Very good Eysha, I see remarkable progress. All the photos are well focused. The veggies are so colorful and your pet is so cute! Good, keep it up!

Looking good. #1 is nicely composed with the position of the nose respecting the 'rule of thirds'. Try the peppers on a white background (just a sheet of paper will do) and it will reflect some of the light to soften the shadows.

Thanks Raguh, i appreciate that.
Martin, to be honest i wasn't thinking of the rule of thirds although i do know about them being an artist. I was concentrating more on getting a good clear shot but i will remember the white paper for the future - thanks for that.

Looking good!!! Very clear and sharp. Try the pepper shots again but take few strips of facial tissue (Kleenex) and wrap around (or just cover it) the flash and see if it softens the flash so you wont' get so much reflection.

eysha, these are looking great! The peppers are nice and sharp and very colorful. Using tissue as Clint suggested will get rid of the white reflection on the peppers (make sure you use white tissue!)

I really like #4, the shot of your sleeping dog, you have a lovely dog!

Thanks, Clint do you literally mean to cover the lens with tissue? That sounds odd to me but i am happy to try anything.
If i was going to transfer these peppers into artwork i wold want that reflection so i guess it's not too good in photography.
My dog is a Papillion and he will be 4 on Feb 11, love him to bits and have tons of photographs of him, now they will be better thought, lol.

cover the FLASH, not the LENS :) or if you have a small mirror, try putting it in front of the flash to bounce the light off the ceiling or walls.
