Along with photography, another hobby of mine is collecting diecasts. Specifically 1:18 scale diecasts. They are around ten inches in length and are made from a zinc alloy with some plastic and soft vinyl for the seats and tires.
Here are my first two shots using my FZ40. More to come! ![]() ![]()

I took the second shot using an LED flashlight and an 8s exposure. I was really surprised at how well the FZ40 focused in pitch black using the AF light. Needless to say it was instant! My previous camera would need to be focused manually to get a proper focus on the subject.
I have been collecting for almost 10 years now and I have around 100 cars. Most are in boxes for lack of display room ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
