dps-9000 external battery pack with FZ?

can anyone confirm if this will work with the FZ series?

The batteries for the FZ1/2/10 is supposed to be the same (7.2v, 680mah). The DigiPower DPS-9000 is 7.2V 1800mAh

thanks

Yes, it works fine with the dp-1u cable. I believe you get into trouble when you have less mAh rather than too much.
I noticed that one of the concerns of an early purchaser of the fz10 in Japan last weekend was that the dc input connection on the right hand side of the fz10 might present problems with an external battery cable. The fz1 has the same placement and the cable does not get in the way.

As long as the voltage is the same the mAh just dictates how long it'll work until it runs out of juice.

thanks both.

I also found an old thread in rec.photo.digital about using 7.2v 3000mAh NiMH RC batteries to use in digicams....

bwah hah hah.... more power! :P
