Soon to be released it is as small as the Pentax *istD

here are pics in a DPR forum thread.

~ $900 US with Kit lens

KM 5D.......

AntiShake is built into the body a considerable advantage since any lens benefits (construction is f/glass reinforced plastic)

6.1MP
ISO100 to 3200

Its possible the Pana DSLR will have AntiShake in the body too. ;)

This anti-shake will give Canon's IS lenses a run for their money.

Canon is good but the lenses are just insane as far as cost.

Looks promising and has me looking for sure.

I do enjoy the Pentax *ist DS though.

The noise levels are very useable even at 3200 iso.

Interesting and inviting. Online price could get down around $700 and this could fly. Anti-shake in the body? Is this a first for dslr?Still a pretty big camera. What will Pany come up with? Cool!

Fred for a DSLR OIS in the body makes sense and yes KM are the first.
The KM D5 is small and just like the Pentax *istD

Konica-Minolta has always packedtons of features in their upper end line, but I've never been impressed with their picture quality. This may be the one. It'll be interesting to see the reviews and pics.

Yes, but this is not the first DSLR with anti-shake in the body. The first DSLR with this feature was the Dynax 7D.

John

thanks for posting that pic - the cam looks really small esp next to that hand! With anti-shake built into the body it would be seriously tempting esp if the price as Fred mentioned goes down to $700USD. At that price point I think the FZ30 would have to be a pretty special digicam to justify anything higher. Interesting times ahead and I'm beginning to wonder if Pana can really wait till 2006 to show the DSLR - it may just be a wee bit late with all teh other major cam players introducing new budget DLSR's.
