jjdog2, Ok to say that photo is awesome would be an understatement! If it is not asking too much or taboo to do so, might I ask what settings you used when taking that photo? If I could take one half that good I would be thrilled. Thank you in advance for any info you can provide.

Hi 4mula1,

No it is not taboo to ask questions, that is what this forum is all about. :)

This shot surprised me. I was walking around looking for some birds to take a shot at and noticed the moon had come up. I used p mode, spot focus and used the digital zoom range. I didn't even review the shot because I thought is would be mush. Later using Gimp I was able to get the image to pop by adjusting the contrast and color a little. I guess everyone get lucky sometimes.

Really nice JJ

humm... you left me curious :)

You used spot focus, but the focused moon is not on the center. Is this image a crop our did you focus on moon, locked focus and composed again with moon where it is? :)

Used spot metering? :)

Thanks for sharing this nice photo and info
