Hi, I took a picture of these flowers awhile back....but they are so interesting I revisited them the yesterday. The first picture is of a new bloom.....and the second is of an older bloom. Since there are so many new people on the list, does anyone know what kind of floweres they are?

They are the Corkscrew Lily. Just kidding:-) I have no idea. All I know is that they are beautiful pictures

Gorgeous captures once again.
Very beautiful and unusual flower. Squirl is right...it is an alien species, originally from the planet Vulcan....They are called "Kolinar's Defeat" because they are the physical representation of the antithesis of linear thinking...pure logic and all that stuff ;):G:G:G. Sorry, it's late and just got home after a 14 hour work day....and I'm a little punchy and delusional :? :? Hiroshi |
Great stuff, B-mom! The tele-macro feature on the fz5 really is a winner as these shots demonstrate so well. I believe the fz3 is the only other fz series camera with tele-macro(ie, focus distance1 meter at 12x zoom) though it is notmentioned as a feature withthat camera.

these are masterpieces.
Must try with FZ20, but at 1,6m of distance it's better to do it with the 6T. I hope FZ40 will have a 1m or less tele macro !!! |
Haven't a clue what flowers these are but your shots of them are fabulous! :|
I am curious though so I hope someone will I.D. them  |
What absolute sharp photos. Did you use macro lens?
