Finally...
I'm excited! I live by a small rural airport and see lots of interesting planes. I've never been any good at panning and getting a plane in flight pic I was happy with. Tonight, I managed this shot. Wish the shutter speed would have been faster but I had seconds to get the camera out and take one photo before he was gone.
Anybody know what kind of plane?? Maybe a Lockheed something or another? Laurie |

Yes, it was a beautiful sight from the ground. Would also have loved to have been onboard to see the fall colors and the setting sun. Laurie |

Nice shot Laurie! Your shutter speed was good for the propeller, much over 1/400 would have frozen it. You did good...

Hi Hawgwild,

Hawgwild - It took me awhile. I see you are in Pensacola. When I was a kid we lived on Perdido Bay and the Navy trainers flew right over our house. They would wave at my Mom when she hung up clothes to dry.
