Long time in the making but I've finally today coughed up the cash and bought the FZ30
![]() Only had it a few hours so won't embarass myself by showing any of the starter pics!... but as soon as I get into the hang of the camera I'll get something posted I have to say I am in awe of the power of this camera, even a friend who is a photographer was suprised as to just how good it is!!.... the zoom is amazing! Hopefully I will now be able to fully join in here... oh and already taken the advice from here and bought a UV filter to protect the lens :-) Only frustrating thing is until my 2gb card arrives I'm stuck with the (why do they bother) 32mg one.. 15 pics!!! aaahhhhh hahahaha ![]() |

Ok three very quick pics I just took of one of the fish in my kitchen!
Not the best I realise but also bare in mind the first i'ev really taken  Not done anything to these other than reduce the scale to better fit here... Let me know what you all think, i keep tropical and coldwater fish and MAN are they tough to photograph, these were by setting up an additional light next to the tank, seems to get the best results i can figure out so far... anything you know thats better let me know!!.... problem i've found is to get the shutter speed fast enough to capture them the image is tooooo dark, and the flash just bounces straight back... loving this camera!!!!! Nic :-D |

Good luck Beesey with the new camera, got mine a couple of weeks back and I love it,
I like the second shot of the fish, crop it a bit and it will look great, Baskerville in Blackburn UK. |
