After too many days of cold, overcast, and often rainy weather it was finally a bright, breezy, and GORGEOUS 65 today with not a cloud in the sky. I took the opportunity to try out our new on campus tram system and when I went by this flag I just had to stop and shoot it with the FZ-20. I know it is nothing special composition-wise but the colors just seem to jump out at me. I captured in burst mode at 1280x960 with high JPEG taking a boatload of shots in order to catch the flag more or less extended. I then reduced to 800x600 with 90% compression with Irfanview.

I'd love to see any other flag pictures, US or otherwise, you experienced FZ users have taken.

Would not call myself an FZ expert by any means.

Did some work in PS, cut the background out, it was lame.

Attempting to get the desired result is never lame. Continue learning, continue shooting photos, continue with patience, continue to share, continue to have fun most of all.

This is in my back yard. I have a larger American flag that does more artistic stuff in a light wind, but it won't fit on the pole with my Bucs flag.

I know they didn't do too well this year, but I don't have much use for fans who fly the flag only in years that the team goes to the Super Bowl.
