FZ20 with an old Miranda 930 TCD flash from about 25 feet away.
The flame tree is flowering nicely this year -- sorry about the dead wood, I'm now too old and decrepit to trim it off as I used to.
wow...what different lighting contrasts. And a real pretty tree too. Ours have no leaves this time of year so the red is a welcome sight!!!

Very nice and I think the dead wood actually adds to the shot. From one old decrepit person to another.:-)t

Glad you like it.
Flame trees flower at their best when there's a drought -- they drop all their leaves and produce nothing but flowers.
We've a really bad one this year, so the flame trees look magnificent.
