A couple from a sunny morning in Melbourne, Flinders Street Station

train travelers arriving for work

and in B&W into the sun

with the sun behind me

Really enjoying my foray into B&W. C&C welcome.

Very nice. I like the first B&W bettter then the second one. Probably because all the people make it more interesting to me. Speaking of people, this is the most I think I have ever seen in one of your posts.

Kind of ironic how bright and sunny is is compared to your trip away bird shots in the gloom between rain drops.

I like the B&W capturesRafael, but I like number two the most.

Thanks Steve and Emmanuel, glad you liked them. I have been experimenting with B&W a bit lately been a bit of fun.

I also liked the people in it Steve. I think I also prefer 3 over 2 because all the people are going in the same direction, it adds something in my view. See Steve we do get busy here as well. I suppose I tend to favour shots that isolate people, I am just an antisoial bugger that likes plenty of space between me and the next smelly body.

On the weather scene, we had a week of beautiful winter days. Crisp with morning frosts but lovely sunshine all day. Then on Friday as we headed down to Phillip Island the wind picked up and the clouds came over. Rained all weekend. On our drive back we could barely see 200 yards in front of us through the rain. Monday mroning, the sun was out again and it is only today (Friday) that the clouds are back. We must have upset the weather man.

Nice Rafael!

I like #4 best. The exposure is perfect and I think the B&W matches the architecture better than the color. If you don't look at the cars to closely you could almost think you went back in time.

Nice B/W shots . I prefer the even lighting in the second one. Many moons ago when I was learning photography, the most basic rule was "keep the sun behind you". :-)

Very nice Rafael, in this series I actually like the B&W shots best.

Thanks Don, Tinosa and Ted. Appreciate your comments.

Tinosa I have heard that rule and in general I agree, but sometimes I just can't help myself.

A lot of great photos would be missed if we were restricd by the rules. They are after all just guidelines.
Shooting instincevely by what catches your eye is the best approach in my opinion.
