I came across this in my files and thought I would post it. I took this with my FZ-30 before it was stolen.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
Emmanuel, I was using the Nikon 6t for that shot. The 62mm threaded 6t is hard to find now but a 52mm 4t is available. Both are the same power |

Thanks for responding. I also have the Nikon 6T and love it! See attached picture from last summer.I waslooking to buy the 5T butstores don't have it. I bought the Canon 500D instead, excellent achromat as well, its the same power as the 5T.

I am glad flies are not that large in reality. Very detailed shot that is.

Thanks Jerrynd Happy !!
Nice shot of the fly Emmanuel, glad to hear you are enjoying your 6t. I also bought the 4t and 3t and use step rings if i want to stack them with the 6t. I haven't had much chance to experiment with that yet because of the weather. If you have a teleconverter like the TCON 14-b of 17 you can mount them on top of the 6t and extend your working distance, I find this good for subjects that are skittish. I have mostly used my TCON 14-b for this and have not seen any significant loss of clarity by doing so. Have fun!!! Macnite wrote: Quote:
