Here are some pictures taken with my FZ30 as I have been learning how to use it. This little squirrel came to us shortly after the hurricanes that swept through FL. She is incredibly sweet and I wonder if possibly she was a rescue that had been released back into the "wild." She visits us frequestly and I just love taking pictures of her.

Please enjoy, and if you have any suggestions, please feel free. :-)

This is one of my first pictures of her. We were going for a walk, and as I looked back she was peering around the tree as if to say, aren't you going to give me some peanuts before you go?

Great series! I live in a neighborhood with no mature trees and privacy fences. In three years there I have only seen one squirrel in my yard.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"Again, nice shots of a cute little tree rat. :G

Thank you Redstickman, bayourebel, annie57 and KenJ for viewing and for your encouraging words.:-)

Redstickman, when I was little, the only place we saw squirrels was at the park by the library. Now we have a whole clan of them living in our neighborhood. ha ha.

Bayourebel, thank you, and I'm glad you enjoyed my captions. Reading them a second time I wasn't sure if they might be a littletoo corny. :lol:But then, maybe that's part of the "charm."

Annie, you are absolutely right about her being like an outdoor pet. She actually sits on my hand to eat a peanut! It took some time to gain that trust but now I can rub her a little behind her ear while she nibbles away. But the minute she's done she's hunting another nut. :-)

KenJ, I appreciate your comments on 3 & 4. I'm so glad to know that I'm headed in the right direction. Thank you for the thumbs up on those two.

Hi Teree,

A very nice series. It seems you're getting the hang of it. Number 3 and 4 are excellent. Keep posting.

Bootneck3 Aug 4, 2006 11:45 PM

Great! Great!

The only thing to do Teree is to change your user name...."gotta.learn" is just not on any more. How about "Have learnt"

d-sr Aug 5, 2006 12:32 PM

Great series! Nice and clear shots. #2 and #4 are my favorites. #4 makes me want to take a nap>

kklaus Aug 6, 2006 12:33 PM

Thank you Macnite, Bootneck, d-sr and kklaus, for your kind words.

Macnite, it's been fun to find out what everyones favorite is. Kind of tells me what the viewers prefer too. :-)I'm glad to hear that I'm getting better. I was sweating it for awhile there wondering if I'd ever get the hang of it. haha:lol:

Bootneck, LOL thank you for suggesting the name change ha ha. I can take that into consideration. That is very kind of you. :-)

d-sr, I love the one where she is laying on the branch too. She scampers about in the tree then suddenly just plops down and rests like that. It's funny to see.

kklaus, thank you so much for viewing, and for your help in my questions thread. Also, thank you for your encouragment.

Very good series. You captured the details and texture of the fur really well.

Thank you so much LadyHawk. I appreciate your encouragment. I'm still learning the camera but, it's fun when you have a model as cute as this little girl. She is such a willing subject. :|

Thank you for viewing and for your kind comments. :-)

Teree :)
