I thought I would keep everyone up to date with my attempts to use reversed lenses. Taken with the FZ10 and Pentax Super-Takumar 50mm f/1.4 lens reversed in front of the FZ at 10x zoom. f/8, 1/60s, iso 50 and Sunpak 383 flash (bounced).

I found this little guy (~1mm long) in my wine and while he cleaned him self off and got over his hangover I tried to take a few photos. Took about 100 and maybe 5 came out! Not really what I would call a good success rate but its a good bit of fun. The original image was a little soft which I think is due to the fungus on my cheap lens! I guess thats what you get when you pay $2.75. I did a pretty aggressive sharpening in PS but I don't think the image suffered too much.

Comments and criticism welcome.

I know it's only a fly but years of horror movies haveconditioned me to be frightened of anything with red eyes!.

Thanks for the laugh. Your hard work paid off. Love this shot. Looks dreamy or like he's coming in from a fog. Amazing that you could get a tiny fruitfly to look so big.
