We just bought a cheap web camera and someone mentioned to me about using our FZ20 as a web camera ...is it possible?

Yes, but not in the tradiditional "Webcam" way...
1st, you are going to need a video capture card with a Composite video in jack (just like your TV). You'll also probably want a power supply to keep the camera powered up for extended periods. And a STEADY SAFE surface to set the camera up. I've tried it. It works. But I don't bother with it. Just too much hassle. |

I also wouldn't feel comfortable having my $500 camera on all the time. There's no tellin when you might drop your spoon and make milk splash all over your beautiful Lecia lense.
