Default FZ-35 Japanese Iris

I posted in another thread some shots of a Prickly Pear. I was pleased with the outcome, although I only posted five of the shots. Earlier, I had made many shots of Iris and some other flowers, many of which turned out well (don't think I posted any here).

Today, I had another opportunity for shots of Japanese Iris. They are a bit different than standard Iris, primarily because their petals droop. I have been quite pleased with the outcome of these flower shots. Here are five from today:

Both P and A mode were used (difference unimportant because P used 2.8 anyway).
AutoISO, AutoWB
Picture: Contrast 2, Sharpness 2, Saturation 1, Noise -2
Center Weight exposure
Area-1 focus

Hi roger53,

Great flower shots. I like #3 & #5 the most. A lot more detail than the other flower series. Thanks for sharing.....

Nice series, Roger. I particularly like the first and the last. Dramatic colors and detail.

The first and last are my favorites.
#3 is also very good, but I just don't like the flower itself--no fault of yours!
