Thanks Saly...it would have been nice to change the metering and it would have tested the Dynamic Range of the FZ100 to the Max and most probably it couldn't handle it! As the last shot was at 844mm and even with a DSLR and a super telephoto the shot would have not been much better to be honest and of course an 800mm lens for a DSLR is only $11,000 or so...lol..but it could have been achieved with a 100-400 the Canon 7D and a 1.4 Teleconverter, but you would have to manually focus and definitely require a Tripod to get more detail then the FZ100 got here...the Dynamic Range would have possibly been better allowing for better results...
Canon 7D Body $1300 + Canon 100-400L $1500 + Canon 1.4TC $300 = $3100 for a few more details...sheesh! thats a lot of coin AND a lot of weight!
So the Superzooms are very competitive for my part...that maybe one reason that Panny/Canon/Olympus don't try to achieve any better IQ out of them as they would cut into some of their other sales?
