Hi
as you may know I love my Fz1000 but recently I have found a weakness in it's zoom plus focus arrangement. If I am in 16x9 aspect ratio and zoom in more or less halfway I get a blurriness down the right hand side of the photo. I occasionally get the same effect in 3x2 aspect as well but I haven't seen it in 4x3. It doesn't show at wide angle. I thought at first that it might be D.O.F because it is worse with the lens wide open and improves as I stop down. This isn't so unfortunately because I've tested it against a flat image plus it's always on the right never on the left. Has anyone else found this or have any idea why this is happening. I've contacted Panasonic U.K about this but not yet received a verdict.

I am intrigued that with 100+ views for this post, you haven't got a response yet. I have only a FZ200 and mostly shoot on 4:3. Still, after seeing your post, tried to shoot a few pics in 16:9, but did not see any noticeable blur. I surfed the net also to see if the same problem is felt by others including other cameras, but only found that some cameras do introduce a little blur, but on all corners. Your problem seems to be specific, I feel it is better that you give it to Panasonic themselves for investigation and repair.

Perhaps it's normal but I doubt it but it may get others to check theirs out.
