Default fz1000 suddenly doing jpeg and raw with one click

Not sure why it is doing jpeg and raw at the same time, but I need to get out of it. Tried doing a pan shot for the first time the other day and I suspect that is when it started. Is that normal in some mode? How do I undo it? The problem photos were shot with Manual setting.

G'day mate

It's not a manual setting issue

I suspect that one of the Fn buttons has been touched accidentally while you were doing other things, and it has activated the dual image save mode

Try Menu - look for "image quality" and you'll find [shown as 1-row or 2-rows of pixel dots] "Raw only - JPEG only - dual format" and lock it into the mode you want. Some here use RAW mostly, others here use JPG - it's up to you

I use JPG permanently as I find it's more than okay for all I do

Hope this helps

That’s it !! Thanks Phil. Have a lot to learn on this camera which is only a few months old. I always use JPG. The fz1000 is the answer to my dreams since almost all of the pix that I shoot are of events here in the senior complex where I live and I avoid flash. Being able to use 1600 ISO and still get decent quality for the photos that I take for our newsletter makes life a little easier for me.
