I was just reading a book that mentioned a turn-of-the-century photographer named Robert Wood (from Johns Hopkins University). It noted that he was one of the first to make photographs in infrared and ultraviolet.
Evidently his shots of the moon in infrared and ultraviolet allowed details to be seen that were not visible to the naked eye. If anyone has any infrared moon shots, I bet they would be interesting to see... By the way, the book is called Tuxedo Park, and is about the Wall Street tycoon ALfred Loomis who had his own "Secret Palace of Science" that helped develop atomic theory, later leading to the bomb. |

I'll try it at the next full moon but I doubt the fz1 (w/ hoya r72) max exposure of 8s will be long enough.
