This is a picture of my front yard. White balance auto, ISO auto, program mode.
To me... It looks just like my front yard as far as color goes.I am not an expert of the exact RGB values of my front yard comaired to the image, but to me... It looks the same. I have taken many pictures with greens in them, and have not noticed anything that would make me think that there is a problem. But like I said, I am no expert, and my pictures look close enought to the real thing to me. I guess if you need that much precision in your color, to you there is a problem. bobc |

Just noticed the pic with the trees has no grass ! Bye the way i did read on one of the FZ10 User guide sites to set saturation to low which is what I've done on the FZ10.
Here's another pic with grass |

As you become more acquainted with the camera you can then fine tune and experiment with the settings. " Setting EV to -1/3 andsaturation low, that's what I will do from now on when I'm shooting "grass" on sunny days. |

You could try to set the white balance manually. I find the auto white balance in the FZ to be lacking. Setting it manually seems to balance the colours very well.

I have just come across this topic and thought I would show you these shots take on the first day of having my FZ20. These shots were taken on a sunny October afternoon.
No post processing was made apart from re-sizing the images for the web. Pic1.jpg was taken on fully automatic mode using with no compensation. Pic2.jpg However because of the amount of sky involved I adjusted the "Exposure Compensation" Setting to –1 These shots, I agree, are not the best but this shows with a little thought and simple use of basic functions located on the back of the camera improvements can be made. Sorry you are having difficulty viewing my "poor" offering. My original post had a link which I could access, as I can with thedirect copy posted. Will now try uploading two photos to my Gallery atpbase.com. The Gallery isnamed either Norm Butler or Norm's - I'm not sure which.
Both photos were taken within 30 minutes of the completion of battery charging after delivery of the camera, so I didn't have either the time or the knowledge to play around with any settings. |
