FZ200 Capturing the moment(s)

Sometimes things come together just about right.

I'm really enjoying being able to shoot video AND get decent still frames from it post processing.

In this case I was walking back to the pits in the staging lanes, when one of the track staff drove by and said Hey you really "need" to go video the wheel stands that wagon's doing, so I turned, cut into the stands, got there just in time to press the record button. .

Pretty much just a point and shoot affair, and had some odd settings left in there, like +2 contrast but if they hadn't suggested I video it, I wouldn't have even seen the run.

recorded in 1080p 30fps mp4 mode, program A/E
(video started at 1/160, F6.3 31.1mm ` 193mm equiv)
Still captures at 1920x1080 by either PhotoFunStudio or while editing via Sony movie studio 12, slow motion was post generated by movie studio at 1/4 speed.

So what do you think how would like to go fetch the groceries or pick up the kids from soccer practice in that? lol

A few sample frame captures attached:

That's amazing !
Nice to see the captured frames came out so well. I think I will do the same to get shots of fast moving models (not the human kind !)
I recently had the novel experience of taking video and taking still shots simultaneously, of the ferry I posted ... never been able to do that before !

Yes IMO stills from video ,works seem to work quite well with the fz200. and just shooting video naturally forces the continuous panning needed try to catch things in motion.

Here are a few others I think came out pretty nice. and all snagged from video

It's amazing what technology allows you to do these days! Good work!

Thanks, And literally only half of it, I use 1080p 30fps mp4, At best setting of 1080p 60fps avchd would produce twice the stills, but it's harder to process and a bit much to playback on my, not that quick, computer.

Here are a those and a few others at closer to full resolution
Think all the car photos in that set are captured from video.
