Matt
Can I ask whether the Panasonic case for the FZ30 is symmetrical or asymmetrical when you look at it from the front? By that I mean does it take account of the fact that the camera has its lens well off-centre? I have a Vanguard Malta case which is also triangular shaped when looked at from the front, but I have to insert a piece of foam into the narrowest part to get the camera to rest with its back level, rather than at an angle due to this asymmetry. Also does the Panasonic have a shoulder strap or anything? Peter |

Hi Peter,
The Panasonic case is symmetrical with a small pocket for the spare battery in the gap to the right of the lens. However, even when there is no battery in this pocket (I've yet to buy a spare) there are no problems and no need for packaging to keep the camera straight. Basically, the case fits like a glove so is quite tight towards the opening of the case. This holds the camera very tightly. The case comes with a small belt strap which can also be used to attach the case to the shoulder strap that came with the camera. This shoulder strap can still be used when the camera is in the case so the case does not come with an additional shoulder strap. Hope this helps. I would fully recommend the case. best wishes Matt |
