FZ35 arrived today

I have to admit that I thought it would be bigger. I just returned the Sony HX5 and loved how small it was, but the FZ35 actually fits in my hand better and is actually pretty small, IMO. Maybe not truly pocketable, but I feel it's perfect for me. Plus, it can still go in my purse which is a huge plus. I haven't been able to really test it yet, but I did shoot a video to compare to the HX5. I was disappointed in the HX5 video in poor lighting conditions. There was a lot of noise and the focus was off. I'm pleased to say that the FZ35 is better, and I'm 100% satisfied with it since my house has awful lighting! So there's one plus. Now I just need to start taking pictures :).

Sorry I read your first sentence and spat the mouthful of milk out...:):) sorry...

Really glad you've got your new camera - isn't it amazing how many people of late have been buying the FZ35/8?!

Looking forward to seeing some pics when you have a chance.

Cheers
Greg

I found it a tad small as well...but I wish they would replace that "joystick" with something easier to use...

Actually, Isn't the JS sort of redundant because the direction buttons move the cursor around also?

Tallymom-

I am delight to hear that the ne FZ-35 arrived and you are pleased. Begin by using the P for Programed Auto Mode and you will soon be having a ball.

Thanks Joho and tallymom, you can see more of my fz35 pictures at http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/ . It is a great camera but I think it has a learning curve. when I first got it, I was majorly underwhelmed by the indoor shots. However, I am now learning to handle it better.
