Default FZ35 - Late Spring flowers

Most of these were shot in A mode to get short DOF. In some cases, the DOF was a little too shallow for f2.8.

Most were shot with Area-1 focus. Subjects like the first one are very difficult to get right focus because of the lack of a substantive plane. I also tried Spot, and had pretty good results. Anybody have suggestions on the best way to get these shots (short of manual focus - the weakest feature of the FZ35)?

Thanks for looking.

P.S. Sorry I've not posted for a long time. But, I've been here nearly every day and enjoy the offerings of others. I've made lots of shots, but just haven't posted them.

Really beautiful series Roger, great colors and details, for my tastes to your images the DOF is perfect!!

Interestingly, the colors looked a bit washed out on my laptop monitor, but they look beautiful on my large monitor! Love all the shades of blue in #1 of the flower and background, and lovely purples in #2.
