Could you do some moving water shots with and without the lens. Maybe even a running tap...

Got the filter mostly to see if it can avoid the lines during filming.

The ND filter only cuts down the light reaching the sensor. It's primarily used to photograph subject in very bright conditions at very slow shutter speeds. This is particularly useful on P&S since they usually offer a min aperture of f8.0, which is really not small enough if the shutter speed is set to 1/2.

Cheese, I'm curious as to why you asked for the running tap water shot.

It would have to be a video of a running tap (or any running water) in bright sunlight. These are the typical conditions in which the CCD sensor over-saturates from bright, sparkling light sources, leading to purple and green vertical streaks.
