FZ40/FZ100 Zoom Equivalents with 1.7X Teleconverter
 
FZ 40/100:

24X x 25mm lens = 600mm
With Nikon TC-E17ED added:
14Mp - 24X x 25 x 1.7 = 1020mm or 40.8X
10Mp - 28.4X x 25 x 1.7 = 1207mm or 48.3X
7Mp - 33.8X x 25 x 1.7 = 1436mm or 57.4X
5Mp - 40.5X x 25 x 1.7 = 1721mm or 68.8X

It does not multiply your F/ Stop...

I don't think so Cole. I remember reading that the changing aperture value is only valid for inline teleconverters that fit between the lens and the camera eg DLSR. The aperture stays basically unchanged with the front-fitting TC's. Especially the Nikon with the large glass and multi coatings.
