FZ40 w/ LC55

Finally got to get in a walk/hike down the ole drainage ditch...with the FZ40 and LC55 on board...it looks to be very decent IQ...

Thanks Dustin very hard to shoot that Spider when he is the same color as the flower and was in the shade to boot...the cameras AF System I am sure must be confused...it still did a great job I thought...the AF on the FZ40 works well...

Yes I was using the Monopod but I use it laid down sideways on the ground this helps me steady the camera, but still allows me to use it as a brace...Induro Carbon Fiber MXC34 as it also has tripod capabilites in the bottom of the leg that are easily set up if needed...I don't think they make this model anymore?...it is getting hard to find, but is a good $100 investment...

I purchased a Slik monopod from EBay - a little heavy but usable.

Have you noticed the FZ40 getting "confused" on focusing sometimes?
Sometimes it seemed it just didn't want to focus - but it may have been me and the "mode" I was in.

Distance only Clint it has certan focal distances same as FZ35...and if you stay within the correct limits it is great of course I push it too these limits...lol...and lose focus once in awhile...the AF depends on contrast also which you already know so if something doesn't want to focus find the sharpest contrast in the subject ie where black meets white and focus there as the AF can discern this easily...

The AF on my FZ40 has been as good or better than the FZ35 Clint...and seemingly better? Maybe I am confused...lol..
