How long, after you take a picture, does it take the FZ5 to be ready to take another?

Hi,

Not able to say with precision, but less than1/2 second (and you may focus and shoot even if the red recording icon is on) in daylight. If you use the H burst mode (4 picts of 2mb = 8mb) it takes 1 second to be free (with a 9mb/sec transfer rate 66x card). If you take a picture in low light with an exposure of 8sec for example, the picture treatment will last longer, but you may shoot again before the end of the processing (don't wait the red recording icon is away). That's an improvement from the Venus Engine II:

Super-Fast Shutter Response

We slashed the release time lag to 0.008(FZ5) / 0.006(FZ4) second minimum by increasing both the circuit speed itself and the point at which the shutter release signal is detected. We also shortened the shutter interval to around 0.4(FZ5) / 0.3(FZ4)second (minimum)*. These improvements help make LUMIX an extremely quick, responsive camera that's a pleasure to use.

*Not including the time for AF.

Multitask Image Processing
Simultaneous, parallel processing greatly reduces shooting time.
