The VLUX-1 on the whole is the same but Leica have always tweaked the cam's to their own standards so there may be a few differences and a few people are hopiing that it has an option to turn off NR. Pricewise its priced at 800 euro's so about 15% higher than the FZ50 - the price difference usually includes a 2 year warranty, a large SD card (possibly 1GB) and some other goodies.. ooo and the red dot.

what HarjTT says definately holds up for LC-1 Digilux 2, and L1 Digilux 3
and Tiger98 points out that the lead in statement says: "While this camera is based on the DMC-FZ50 it has had image processing adjustments as defined by Leica" such are the benefits of sharing technolgy resources and tooling its beginning to get interesting isnt it Riley |
