Everything else aside, the light rectange in the upper right corner gives the best idea of the noise pollution. Overall better than I would have thought possible from that size sensor. pretty good really.

Fred, I agree. The early results must have been skewed by the camera being hand held. This result would seem to indicate very little if any difference in quality by resolution. Still, I am pleased with the quality of the high sensitivity mode for simple snapshot type images. I think that if you are going to just make a simple 4x6 print and put it into a album then it's a usable feature.
