I'm too late for Christmas, but my birthday is in March. To take flower/insect pics, what kind of lense, adaptors are best?

Thanks!!!!

Where can I see samples of pictures, and what lenses that they were taken with- is there a general fz5 photo site?

Look for forum member "fmoore". Pull up his profile and look at his topics. He has a number of pictures (with various lenses and such) posted that he took with his FZ5, and he was a big help to me when I had questions about the same camera.

for close-ups like that, the Nikon 3T or 4T would be hard to beat on the FZ5. you'd need a 55-52mm step-down ring, since those lenses have 52mm threads, but the optical quality is excellent. the 3T is 1.5 diopter, and the 4T is 2.9. the latter will give you more magnification, but shallower depth of field; the 3T won't magnify as much, but the DOF will be greater, and it might be a bit easier to use. either one will permit use of the full zoom range while focusing from about 12-16 inches away, depending on which one you get.i think these lenses run about $35-$38 at B&H Photo. i own a 6T, which is identical to the 4T but larger, for my FZ20, and can attest that it producesexcellent results.
