This is the scene from my backyard at 9:17 this evening. We are in the midst of a heat wave. It's been mid 30 degrees Celsius / 85 - 100 farenheit for over 3 weeks now. Haven't had any rain for 40 days (my U.K. friends don't want to hear about rain or lack of) Thunderclouds build but nothing ever comes out of it. With a bit of smoke in the air from some distant forest fires, the filtered light makes for some great evening skies.

Nice that the clouds stayed off the moon and colorful at the same time. I hope you get some rain.

The hot weather and fires are terrible but they do make some interesting evening skies.
