Hi,
When using a Mac running OSX, you have iphoto, a great program. You can do slide show or make a QuickTime movie, all with any music that you choose. Also is a nice photo library and simple post processing aplication. Will also automatically downsize your photos for email with one click !! I LOVE IT:!: Charles |

(Not sure this should be on this forum)
I've tried a handful of apps for this, and settled on MemoriesOnTV. It has everything I need, including pan-and-scan, aka "Ken Burns effect", sync to audio, real DVD burning, and photos and videos can be used on the same shows. Mind you, I clean up and crop the photos in Photoshop first, then I edit the music in Sound Forge, and only then do I work in MemoriesOnTV. In other words, MOTV is used only for creating the storyboard for the slide show, not for editing anything. You can find it here: http://www.codejam.com/motv.htm My one tip for slideshows, and beginners tend to make this mistake a lot, is keep your transitions simple. Most of my presentations only use fades. Fancy transitions are distracting, and take away from the beautiful photos you're trying to share. Also, if you're doing a presentation on a person, for graduation, wedding, etc, you can also use FantaMorph to morph a series of photos, say from baby to adult, and incorporate that short video into your slide show. They usually eat this stuff up. http://www.fantamorph.com/ |
