The Anna's hummers are still around and feisty as ever. I sure enjoy watching these little guys.

Very nice pics, but IQ of FZ50 still doesn't convince me at all (both in the OOF areas and in the subjects, even at this resize factor - unless it is say a 60-100% crop, which I don't think).

Must admit that the comments of Narmer is outside of my understanding and I really appreciate the pictures for what they are, that is, beautifully captured photos of a beautiful bird.

They are so cute...very nice photos. I think the quality is very nice off this camera but my level of discernment is very much in the babe stage.

Thanks for the comments everyone. To me, a picture is good if the person that took it or the person viewing it likes it. In what we are doing, sharing pictures and having fun, that's really all that matters to me.
I should add that I too love to see every detail in a picture clearly. If I could see the detail in every feather of every bird picture I took I would be happy. But that is not always possible and not always the fault of the camera.

I agree tcook. Very nice shots. All the Hummers are gone where I live. I'll really miss them.

For the price and for all the functions the FZ50 is a great camera in my eyes. Will it match a DSLR with good lenses? Absoutely not, but for a fun camera, able to take what I call,WOW! shots to most people it's hard to beat.
